About
Blue Line Picks (Ligne Bleue in French) is an NHL hockey information site for readers in Ontario: schedule, scores and standings checked every two hours and published when they change, Maple Leafs and Senators game news, and one pick a day by Coach Tremblay - a pen name, never a person.
Every pick is written from verifiable game data, mechanically checked before publication, then updated at the same address after the game, win or lose. The market prices shown are a median of books, read at the time given, never an operator’s offer. The operators named are those on Ontario’s official register, as of the date shown on each card.
The site currently carries no commercial link. Should a partnership with a registered operator be agreed, this page will say so and the links concerned will be marked.
This site is intended for those aged 19 and over in Ontario. It contains no promotional offer, no inducement to bet: the regulator forbids it, and so do we. No player or coach is put in the spotlight. Team logos are used for identification.
Game data comes from our data feed; the site calls no external source when a page is displayed.
When a page shows an illustrative photo, it comes from Pexels.
Corrections log
When a published article is corrected, it is corrected at the same address, and the correction is recorded here with its date.
- October 16, 2026: Match news from 3 to 15 October: Eight texts gave the year a club was founded in the middle of a form paragraph (« The Toronto club was founded in 1917 »); it was removed: it belongs on the team page.
- October 16, 2026: Picks and match news from 9 to 17 October: Five texts said « lost in overtime or a shootout » although the game says which: they now say « in a shootout » (Flyers, Sabres, Maple Leafs) or « in overtime » (Predators). The form block of each pick now has a legend for its abbreviations.
- October 16, 2026: Picks from 1/10 to 15/10: Standings were written in the present tense (« Toronto sits 5th in the Atlantic Division »), though the standings move after every game; the sentence now ties the position to the game (« Toronto goes into this game 5th in the Atlantic Division », or « after this game » in a report). The figures are unchanged.
- October 22, 2026: Toronto Hosts a Hot Rangers Team at Scotiabank Arena: The market had the same price on both teams (1.91): the analysis called Toronto the favourite and the market block named New York. At an equal price there is no favourite, and both now say so. Rest was also given as a reason for Toronto although Toronto had less of it (two days against three); that reason was removed. The pick, the price and the confidence are unchanged.
- October 16, 2026: Match news from 29/09 to 17/10: Standings were written in the present tense (« Toronto sits 5th in the Atlantic Division »), though the standings move after every game; the sentence now ties the position to the game (« Toronto goes into this game 5th in the Atlantic Division », or « after this game » in a report). The figures are unchanged.
- October 16, 2026: Buffalo Sabres Beat Toronto Maple Leafs 5-4 in Overtime: A French sentence spoke for Toronto (« we won our last game »); it was removed. The English text was unchanged.
- October 9, 2026: Picks from 1 to 8 October: The French texts now say « analyse » and « prolongation » throughout; two French verdicts no longer call a close game clear-cut. The English texts were unchanged.
- October 9, 2026: Toronto Maple Leafs host Nashville Tuesday, the price likes Toronto, the form doesn't: The French text described a single result as a run; it now gives each team's most recent result. The English text was unchanged.
- October 9, 2026: Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver: favourites despite Tuesday's loss: A French sentence translated word for word from English was rewritten; the English text was unchanged.
